Domestic Violence in the U.S.
In the U.S., over 10 million adults experience domestic violence annually, with national studies showing 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men will experience physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. During September 2024, the National Domestic Violence Counts Survey documented the immediate needs of survivors, with organizations providing services like safety plans, emergency shelter, and crisis hotlines to thousands of individuals.
