The HOLY CROSS PARISH DOMESTIC ABUSE AWARENESS MINISTRY 

This OUTREACH MINISTRY serves as our parish’s primary resource for assisting and supporting the Archdiocese of Chicago Domestic Abuse Outreach Program. A high priority is to raise awareness in our community of the prevalence/scope of domestic abuse, of how to recognize domestic abuse, and of

the availability of local assistance for domestic abuse  victims and their families.

We serve as a liaison for domestic abuse  victims and those within our parish who have knowledge and experience with domestic abuse  issues - and as liaison with other religious communities, government agencies, and not-for-profit advocacy programs which provide domestic abuse  services (in particular 

A SAFE PLACE, which provides extensive effective domestic abuse  remedial programs in Lake County.)

We also welcome the assistance of those in our community who wish to help support the spiritual and recuperative needs of domestic abuse  victims and their families.
